Carla Thomas (Owner) – Senior Accredited Exercise Physiologist

Carla is passionate about helping individuals improve their health through exercise and healthy eating habits.  Carla is the owner of B Mee and has watched the allied health team grow and change over the last 14 years.

Carla has particular interests in musculoskeletal injuries, pre and post natal fitness, mental health and women’s health.  Carla likes being a motivator in group classes and enjoys working with client’ s one on one helping them to improve their quality of life.

Carla is a mum of 5 and loves swimming, taking the dog for a walk, chilling at the beach and spending time with her kids.

Nicola – Accredited Exercise Physiologist

Bachelor of Exercise Science, Graduate Diploma of Exercise Physiology & ESSA

Nicola is from sunny Noosa, but travelled to Gold Coast where she completed her Exercise Physiology studies, but now she calls Hervey Bay home. Working as an Exercise Physiologist she quickly developed a passion for working within the chronic disease management field as well as with neurological, cancer and NDIS participants and clients.

She can be found in our Hervey Bay clinic providing consultations, gym work, hydrotherapy, Pilates reformer and home visits to clients of varying abilities and ages, She loves encouraging not only exercise but ‘movement’ that is suitable and tailored to her clients needs and goals; there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach here, a smile is guaranteed though. On weekends she enjoys spending her time at the beach and exploring the great outdoors.

Nicholas – Accredited Exercise Physiologist

Bachelor Clinical Exercise Physiology, Bachelor Sports Management, Cert 3 Fitness Instructor & ESSA

Nick is passionate about the phrase ‘Movement is medicine’ which he embraces to help people in recovery from injury, reduce the impact of chronic diseases and achieve their personal goals. “There are so many positive effects from physical activity it really changes your life for the better”.

Nick has been an Exercise Physiologist for over 2 years and has worked in the fitness industry for more than 10 years.

Nick calls Hervey Bay his home and is embracing the waterfront lifestyle. You might find Nick out and about mountain bike riding, walking along the scenic beach front or enjoying the calm water.

Amanda- Accredited Practicing Dietitian

I’m a clinical dietitian with a Bachelor of Health Science ( Nutrition and Dietetics). I’ve worked in clinical and community dietetics, and also public health nutrition in the prevention of chronic disease in whole populations. I am particularly interested in family nutrition and am passionate about helping children and families to develop positive connections with food both at home and where possible, at school or care.

I’m also particularly interested in gut health and the growing evidence that shows a protective link between healthy gut bacteria and many diseases including diabetes; cardiovascular disease; cancer; and mental health. I work with individuals and families to develop practical, no-nonsense eating patterns that will improve symptoms and overall health, while maintaining a positive relationship with food for life.

Rebecca (Bec) – Accredited Practicing Dietitian

Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours) Class 1

Rebecca is originally from the Gold Coast but moved to Hervey Bay to be a part of the amazing team at B Mee. Having conducted previous research on ‘dietitians’ perspectives of the barriers and enablers to delivering patient centred care’ she finds herself passionate about delivering a service that is tailored to meet the needs and wants of each individual client. Rebecca has worked in both clinical and private practice settings. She enjoys the variety that comes with her job which includes applying dietary modification for the management of chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol, malnutrition, and other nutritional deficiencies; weight management; shopping tours and meal planning; reading food labels and nutrition information. Rebecca is particularly passionate about gut health and helping those who suffer with IBS and/or functional gut disorders. She also has conducted extra training in eating disorders and is passionate about helping individuals find a healthy relationship towards food. She also thoroughly enjoys educating NDIS/DVA clients to build independence with dietary advice and hands on cooking skills at B Mee’s licensed kitchen.


Having grown up on the Gold Coast in her spare time you can most likely find her at the beach, she enjoys surfing, swimming, skating, riding, soccer, touch football, cooking and playing guitar. 

Sarah – Diabetic Educator

Credentialled Diabetes Educator, Registered Nurse

Sarah experience in working with people with diabetes extends over 30 years, Sarah’s passion is for her clients to become competent in the field of self-management of their diabetes. Sarah has worked in the hospital, community, and remote settings in the field on diabetes. Sarah is very keen to share her knowledge with other health professionals and to mentor them in the field of diabetes.

Sarah is always willing to listen and learn from both her clients and other health professionals. Her outside interests include family, travel, fitness and attempting new challenges.

Mike- Exercise Therapist & Remedial Massage Therapist

Diploma of Fitness; Diploma of Remedial Massage; Diploma of Sport Development, Cert III in Fitness, Cert IV in Fitness & Cert IV in Management

Mike began his fitness career in gyms and health clubs in rural settings before moving into the health side of the industry. Believing recovery is just as important as exercise, Mike went on to study massage after fitness, enabling him to combine exercise and recovery techniques for maximal result.

Mike loves fitness and is an avid runner. His passion is in helping people find a balance between life and fitness; believing that exercise can help anyone. Mike ewnjoys working with a wide range of clientlle but really enjoys working with NDIS and people recovery from injury or illness. 

In his downtime Mike enjoys running; skating; going to the beach, the occasional competitive computer game and just enjoying the lifestyle of Hervey Bay. 

Dan – Exercise Scientist

Dan is originally from Denmark but moved to Australia back in 2008. He started his journey in the fitness industry when he became a personal trainer in 1996. After traveling the world and finally settling down in Hervey Bay he followed his passion and went back to school to study for a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science. After graduating in 2020 he started working for B Mee Allied health in the beginning of 2021.


Dan believes that more needs to be done to promote the positive effects exercise has on both the mind and the body rather than how society promotes it as a punishment. Exercising should be fun, challenging, stimulating and so much more.

Tamara – Exercise Therapist & Receptionist

Aqua Aerobics Cert

Tamara moved to Hervey Bay 3 years ago from Southern Queensland. Tamara came in and did her prac fro Uni with B Mee at the begining of 2021 and then started working for B Mee at the end of 2021.

Tamara is currently working towardsher Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology. Tamara has a passion for hydrotherapy and has been working in this feild for the last 18 months.

In her spare time you will find Tamara out playing with her puppy or relaxing by the beach.

Brooke – Exercise Therapist & Receptionist

Cert II & III in Sports in Fitness, Fundamentals of Nurtition Cert

Brooke has been with the B Mee team since the end of 2020. Brooke has completed her cert II & III in Sports & Fitness and is now working towards completing her cert IV in personal training. Brooke has always had a interest in sports, fitness and overall well-being. She enjoys working in a supportive and encouraging enviroment at B Mee to push one another to achive their goals.


Brooke believes that exersing should be something you enjoy doing and getting the most out of life. Brooke aspires to become a primary school teacher, to help young kids get set up to learn and have fun at school. On weekends you might find Brooke at the beach relaxing or going for a paddle or runing and riding along the nade.

Prue – Recovery Centre & Receptionist

Cert III & IV Fitness, Advanced Level 1 Nutrition, Boxing for Fitness & Active Kids Trainer

Prue has been in Hervey Bay for 8 years. She has previously worked as a qualified Personal Trainer running her own business and as a Dental Assistant for 5 years. She has a keen interest in health and wellness and is running our beautiful Recovery Centre. Outside of work Prue is a mum who loves to spend quality time with her family, weight training in the gym, gardening and socialising with her friends.

Lars  (Owner) – Triathlon Coaching & Recovery Centre

Tina- Practice Manager

NZ Cert IV in Business

Tina originally hails from across the ditch in New Zealand and has been apart of the B Mee team since the beginning of 2020. Tina has a long career in administration working in both small business and large corporations.

Tina spent 2019 travelling the world with her husband, Richard, before stopping off in Australia to visit her daughter. Things changed and a stopover turned permanent.

Tina is now running our front office where she manages 3 other staff in this area and also supports our other professionals to provide our clients with the best care possible.

Claire – Receptionist

Claire joined BMee at the end of 2021. You will find her covering reception most afternoons from 3:30pm. Claire is in her last year of high school and is working towards completing her ertificate III in early childhood education and care. In the future she is hoping to study nursing and midwifer, in hopes of helping and guiding women through their pregancies and post natal expericences.

Claire enjoys spending her time creating and exploring new perspectives and cultures through art and reading. Claire enjoys working at BMee, as it gives her the oppoturnity to meet a wide range of people.
